What is Toggle Movement and how could it improve accessibility in a platforming game like Mega Man or Sonic? In preparation for hopefully getting invited to a round two interview at a company I love, I have been working on two Figma prototypes showcasing an accessibility feature I designed on paper a long time ago: Toggle Movement. Now that I been learning UX through Google for about two months and have built some Figma skills, I figured it would be cool to prototype the setting for my (future) portfolio to demonstrate how it works! Toggle Movement is in two fangames I have been working on as Accessibility Designer: Mega Man Y+1 and Mega Man Y+1 Operation X.M.A.S. In platformers like these, players typically need to hold down the D Pad for extended periods of time to move left or right, but that creates a huge barrier for some players with physical disabilities. With Toggle Movement, all those holds are changed to toggles! Here is how Toggle Movement works in a Mega Man game: https://lnkd.in/e38-8phW Nice and simple, right? But what about a platformer with momentum and different animations depending on speed, like Sonic? Well, lucky for you I am also a Sonic fan, so here! 😄 https://lnkd.in/eUnuBytZ You should be able to access these links on PC or mobile using common browsers, like Chrome. You can either click/tap left or right on the on-screen D Pad, or press left or right on a keyboard. The arrow that appears in front of the character denotes which direction is currently toggled on. Remember, don't hold, just tap! In what games do you think a setting like this could help improve accessibility? #Accessibility #Toggles #MegaMan #Sonic #Figma #UX #Gaming
Inspiration: Sultan by Royal Crown
Gourmand fragrances can easily reach the tipping point where they are no longer regarded as mature and sophisticated. A little extra sugar can permanently place the fragrance into a more juvenile category, and that is something we can never imagine Royal Crown doing. With standout releases like Celebration and Upper Class, it is unimaginable that the fragrance wouldn’t do gourmand in a sophisticated way. Thankfully, Sultan is everything we hoped it would be and more! The opening of vanilla from Madagascar joins dates and fruity notes for a sweet aroma that is both hearty and exotic! Familiar accords like amber and woods create the long lasting appeal while oud and saffron add the darkness! Sultan’s Vanilla is our take on this amazing must-have from the brand, and you may now save hundreds of dollars while enjoying a near-identical match!
